How Gene Works

In today’s world, athletes train their bodies to the limits of their capabilities, trying to get any advantage they can, using anything from new training techniques to performance enhancing supplements. However, training the body to the limit without simultaneously training the mind is, at best, training for mediocrity. Sports psychologists and championship players in virtually every form of competition have long claimed that 80% of an athlete’s performance is in the mind. Yet the mental aspect of sports, is the one least trained for most athletes.

Peak physical condition is only one piece of achieving success in the sports world. What separates the elite from the mediocre is their mental conditioning. My mental peak performance coaching uses a combination of the latest and most powerful tools in mental training including: Neuro-Linguistic Psychology and Programming, Visualization and Mind-body techniques for removing the mental friction and blocks that athletes face. Then utilize Modeling Excellence and Peak Performance Coaching to create the mental conditions, strategies and attitudes that allow athletes to take their performance to their highest level consistently.

Athletes want to change their thinking and mental patterns to perform their best, only to find themselves reverting to their old habits. This can be frustrating because these change seems very difficult, and sometimes almost impossible. The reason why is in the structure of human mind. Just like an iceberg, what we see is only the tip. We have direct control over 5% of our conscious mind. However, we do not see the 95% that is our unconscious mind. It is the very thing that controls our heart rate, digestive system, breathing and countless other processes that we do not think about.

When people create change on a conscious level, the change only affects the 5% surface level, ignoring the unconscious 95% that are responsible for their behavior. This is why consciously telling your self that you are confident doesn’t work. Conscious change requires a person to constantly pay attention. Conflicting feelings make change difficult, frustrating and often short lasting. My mental peak performance coaching is effective because, I work with tools and techniques to work with both the conscious and the unconscious minds. This allows us to make rapid, easy, lasting, and powerful improvement in your performance.
